Julie started her career by setting up a bookkeeping and administration service in the Airlie Beach area back in 1987. When GST was introduced Julie started preparing business activity statements for her bookkeeping clients.
While supervising her bookkeeping business, Julie worked for ten years as a Senior Accountant for another local accounting practice, completed her studies and obtained an Advanced Diploma of Accounting.
Julie then included Accounting and Tax Preparation to her bookkeeping client base. This client base has grown substantially over the years, due to referrals from current clients and other business professionals.
Julie’s daughter Rachel Raitt, who is also a fully qualified accountant, joined the business in February 2010 and mother and daughter worked together to further increase the client base and outstanding reputation of Bookkeeping & Taxation Services.
In 2017 Rachel re-located her family to Buderim on the Sunshine Coast and commenced working with Greenhalgh Pickard Solicitors and Accountants in their Buddina Office.
This is how Julie was introduced to Greenhalgh Pickard Solicitors and Accountants, which has led to a merger of the two firms to offer more extensive services to the Whitsunday Area.
Julie deals with all areas of taxation and accounting including partnerships, companies, trusts. She also prepares business activity statements, business structures and entity establishments, capital gains and all ATO and ASIC related matters. Julie also enjoys the satisfaction of individual income tax return preparations and consultations.
